F-Liiga: Streaming Finnish floorball to global audiences with F-LiigaTV

F-Liiga, Finland’s premier floorball league, partnered with Icareus to launch F-LiigaTV, a paid streaming and on-demand service for international fans, powered by Icareus Video Cloud.

Floorball is rapidly growing worldwide, with the International Floorball Federation counting 75 member countries and millions of players. As the top league in Finland, the F-Liiga brings together 30 teams and nearly 800 athletes. To grow its global audience and strengthen visibility abroad, the league decided to launch its own streaming service.

Summary

Together with Icareus, the F-Liiga introduced F-LiigaTV at the start of the 2021-2022 season. The service makes all men’s league matches available worldwide, both live and on-demand, with flexible subscription models. Built on the SaaS-based Icareus Video Cloud, F-LiigaTV integrates seamlessly with the league’s match management system and supports global delivery, payments, subscriber management, and geoblocking.
