Eerikkilä: MATSI.TV bringing Finnish football and futsal together in one streaming platform
Eerikkilä launched MATSI.TV, a dedicated streaming platform for Finnish football and futsal powered by Icareus Video Cloud for Sports OTT, bringing live matches, recordings and other sports content into one service while creating new visibility and revenue opportunities for clubs and competitions.
Eerikkilä is one of Finland’s leading sports and training centres, with a strong focus on high-performance coaching, player development, and sports technology.
In May 2025, Eerikkilä launched MATSI.TV, a new media platform for Finnish football and futsal. The service initially featured Huuhkaja and Helmariliiga matches played at Eerikkilä and has since expanded to support a wider range of competitions and content.
Powered by Icareus Video Cloud for Sports OTT, MATSI.TV provides the technology for producing, managing, distributing, and monetizing sports video across web, mobile, and TV applications.

Results
MATSI.TV has expanded from its initial launch around Huuhkaja and Helmariliiga matches into a broader platform for Finnish football and futsal.
A key step in that development was the launch of Futsalliiga.tv, developed together with Eerikkilä and powered by Icareus.
Futsalliiga.tv gives Finland’s Women’s and Men’s Futsal Leagues their own dedicated streaming environment within MATSI.TV. Over a three-year period, hundreds of regular-season matches, playoffs, and qualifiers are set to be available live and on demand.
Fans can access the content directly through Futsalliiga.tv or through MATSI.TV, including its mobile and TV applications.
For Futsalliiga, the direct-to-consumer model creates greater control over distribution, strengthens the connection with fans, and opens new revenue opportunities for participating clubs.
Looking ahead
MATSI.TV is being developed as a broader media platform for Finnish football and futsal.
Alongside live matches and recordings, the service can grow to include highlights, clips, coaching materials, training content, and other video formats.
