Together with our partner Maxicaster, we delivered a tailored implementation of the Icareus Video Cloud Webinar solution, adapting it to Creative Technology’s workflow and adding new features that simplified production and saved time.

Challenge
Creative Technology had been using a well-known online video platform, but over time, its technical limitations and outdated user experience began to slow down their progress. They set out to find a more modern and adaptable system that could evolve with their needs.
They carried out an extensive evaluation process, testing several platforms over 3–6 months to identify the right fit.
Having collaborated successfully on previous projects, Icareus and Maxicaster were invited to present a joint solution: a modern webcasting and webinar platform with flexible storage, transcoding, and CDN capabilities. Shared goals and complementary expertise made the partnership a natural match.
Solution
The resulting system integrated Icareus Video Cloud with Maxicaster’s delivery platform to provide a scalable and configurable live streaming setup. Creative Technology can now adjust streaming parameters for each event and manage all aspects of their video workflows from one platform.
With Icareus Video Cloud, Creative Technology manages webcasts, recordings, subscribers, and device compatibility, and offers branded viewing experiences for each customer.
The platform also supports:
- Multi-channel live streaming and simulcasting to corporate sites, Facebook, and YouTube
- Automatic or manual event recording
- Slide synchronization and on-demand publishing
- Optional monetization models
- A customizable, responsive web interface for a high-quality viewer experience
Results
After a thorough testing and co-creation process lasting six months, the tailored Icareus Video Cloud solution went live in early 2018. It now fits seamlessly into Creative Technology’s production workflows and provides an intuitive, flexible admin interface suited to their corporate clients’ needs.
Creative Technology now uses the solution as their primary webinar and live event platform, streaming major productions for customers including Nokia, Mercedes-Benz, and Metso.
