Helsinki, 28.8.2019,Icareus has delivered its trusted broadcast platform Icareus Playout EPG to one of the leading news channels in the world, France24. Icareus Playout will be used to manage and distribute EPG data of the France 24 channels distributed via cable, satellite and DTT.
France24, the international news channel, broadcasts 24/7 to 355 million households around the world in French, Arabic, English and Spanish. The four channels have a combined weekly viewership of 61.2 million viewers.
France24 needed a new EPG solution to manage their multilanguage program information. France24 distributes approximately twenty different versions of their news channel on different platforms. Icareus Playout platform was selected, because it offers a modular, secure and robust broadcast platform for managing multichannel EPG data. Icareus Playout enable France24 to manage the service metadata in flexible manner to offer better TV experience to their viewers.
